4-star defensive lineman Daevin Hobbs commits to Tennessee football

Tennessee football landed a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Daevin Hobbs on Friday.

It’s a big get for the Vols as the early national signing period approaches Dec. 21. They are within reach of signing a top-10 class for the first time since 2015.

Hobbs is a 6-foot-4, 277-pounder from Jay M. Robinson High in Concord, North Carolina. He is ranked the No. 11 defensive lineman and No. 95 overall prospect in the 2023 class by 247Sports Composite.

Hobbs chose Tennessee over Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Ohio State and Michigan. He is Tennessee’s 23rd commitment in the 2023 class, led by five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava.
