1. The Commercialists play 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' at Turner Hall Ballroom

Frustrated with no free-TV showings of "A Charlie Brown Christmas"? This newish Milwaukee holiday tradition might fit the bill. The Commercialists return to play the Vince Guaraldi Trio's iconic music from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at Turner Hall Ballroom, 1040 N. Phillips Ave., at 6 and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 23. Tickets are $25. 2. Last call for Milwaukee Rep's 'Christmas Carol,' Milwaukee Ballet's 'Nutcracker,' First Stage's 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer'

Dec. 24 brings the final performances of three Milwaukee theater holiday staples: the Milwaukee Repertory Theater's "A Christmas Carol" at the Pabst Theater, the Milwaukee Ballet's "The Nutcracker" in the Marcus Performing Arts Center's Uihlein Hall and First Stage's "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" musical at the Marcus Center's Todd Wehr Theater. 4. Holiday Hurrah! at Red Arrow Park's Slice of Ice
