Women in Blue 2019

Presented by the Detroit Public Safety Foundation, this event celebrates all of the women employed by the Detroit Police Department and the Detroit Fire Department. Attendees will witness the selection of the Woman of the Year for each department and enjoy breakfast during the keynote speech by Jocelyn Benson, Michigan's Secretary of State. 4th Annual Detroit International Festival of Animation

Hosted by the Tangent Gallery, the Detroit International Festival features a wide range of animated shorts created by both local and international animators and filmmakers. Attendees can also take in an animation expo featuring artists, animators and comic creators. A wide variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase. Ages 18 and over only.

RUNdetroit's Running Shoe Demo Day

Detroit Design 2067: Final Student Presentations

Celebrate the work of local high school juniors and seniors as they present their design projects that combine the history of Detroit's 1967 uprising with pressing social issues currently facing Detroit. Students have completed their projects in partnership with several community partners as they explored the areas of race relations, youth engagement and leadership, neighborhood advancement and economic inclusion and opportunity. Attendees will also be served a meal during the presentations.
