All 4 women injured in Midtown Atlanta shooting released from the hospital

The four women who were hospitalized after being shot during an active shooter situation at a Midtown Atlanta medical facility have been released from the hospital.

Police said Deion Patterson, 24, opened fire in the waiting room of a Northside Hospital medical office, killing one woman and wounding four others. Three of those women were listed as critically injured after the shooting.

Lisa Glynn, Georgette Whitlow, Jazzmin Daniel and Alesha Hollinger, who range in age from 25 to 71, were all hospitalized.

Officials with Grady Memorial Hospital have confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that all four women have since been released from the hospital. The last of them was discharged on Monday.

Daniel, a 25-year-old mother, had been working as a receptionist at the front desk of Northside Medical for just six months when Patterson opened fire. She says she was in the process of clocking out for lunch when she was shot in the chest and abdomen.

“My whole life changed in a blink of an eye,” she wrote in a GoFundMe campaign. “I have a long recovery ahead of me.”

Amy St. Pierre, a 38-year-old Centers for Disease Control and Prevention employee, was killed in the shooting.

“CDC is deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of a colleague killed today in the Midtown Atlanta shooting. Our hearts are with her family, friends, and colleagues as they remember her and grieve this tragic loss,” the CDC said in a statement.

Patterson was later arrested in Cobb County after an hours-long manhunt by multiple law enforcement agencies.
