I’ve had sensitive skin pretty much my whole life, so finally nailing down a skin care routine that keeps my skin clear and hydrated has been a big accomplishment for me. And while I do test out new products pretty regularly as a shopping editor, I tend to find myself coming back to the same few brands (if not the exact same products) time and time again.

Now that I have a whole medicine cabinet full of products I love and that don’t make my skin freak out (see below), I’ve come to realize that my skin care regimen wouldn’t exist without a few key brands. Keep scrolling for the lowdown on the five woman-owned brands that keep my skin consistently looking its best.

1. Fresh

I’ve been using Fresh’s Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer during the day for over a year now. I’ll be honest – I don’t know how I lived without it before. My skin can get really dry in the winter and in between seasons, so this product keeps my face hydrated and glowing. And while I don’t normally react well to any scented skin care, this moisturizer has a light rose fragrance and doesn’t break me out at all.

About once a week, I also try to use Fresh’s Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask. The mask has a slight cooling feeling and leaves my skin super soft and looking refreshed. I’m a fan of the brand’s Black Tea eye cream, too!

2. Supergoop!

In order to keep my skin healthy, I have to protect it. So when I’m in need of a good SPF, I reach for Supergoop! The brand offers a wide range of sunscreens and SPF products for both face and body, but my No. 1 pick is the Unseen Sunscreen. As the name suggests, this sunscreen is totally invisible once applied and feels weightless on the skin. I love that this SPF 40 formula isn’t greasy at all and doesn’t leave me looking oily.

The brand recently launched its Every. Single. Face. Watery Lotion SPF 50, which is meant to be universal and undetectable. I have a feeling this simple formula will quickly become a new favorite!

3. Drunk Elephant

I will be singing Drunk Elephant’s praises for years to come. So many of their products are such staples in my medicine cabinet (and in my shower) that I also buy them in travel sizes so I can bring them wherever I go.

While I’d recommend anything from the brand, Drunk Elephant’s Protini Polypeptide Cream and T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum are standouts for me. This moisturizer sinks into my skin like nothing else and is incredibly light while being so hydrating, and the glycolic serum is what I attribute my clear skin to. I use it every single day and notice that whenever I miss a day, my pores look clogged, and I’m more likely to break out.

4. iNNBEAUTY PROJECT

Popular across social media thanks to its fun packaging and cult favorite Lip Glazes, iNNBEAUTY PROJECT has quickly become a go-to in my daily routine. I particularly love the brand’s 10 + 10 Moisturizer. It’s lightweight, super smooth and absorbs almost instantly into my skin. Plus, this moisturizer is packed with good-for-skin ingredients like vitamin C, peptides, ceramides and vegan squalane.

I also love using the brand’s Green Machine 7 Min Glo Mask when my skin is going through a rough patch and could use some extra exfoliation.

5. Charlotte Tilbury

When it comes to well-known makeup brands’ skin care products, I’m always a bit apprehensive about trying them out. So while I’ve been a fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic Pillow Talk lipstick for ages, I gave her skin care a shot a year ago not expecting much. TBH, I was totally blown away.

Specifically, I’ve been using the Magic Cream Moisturizer as of late, and its rich consistency and non-greasy texture make it irreplaceable in my medicine cabinet. Since this cream is on the thicker side, I like to use it as my night cream. But it’s also great under makeup — it was developed by a makeup artist, after all!
