Fond du Lac police identify man found fatally shot on Marquette Street Saturday as Brandon A. Johnson, 40; investigation remains active

FOND DU LAC – A 40-year-old man was found dead Saturday morning in the 200 block of Marquette Street from an apparent gunshot wound.

The Fond du Lac Police Department and the City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue Department responded to a 911 call for assistance regarding the man on the ground at 7:20 a.m., according to Fond du Lac Police.

Police Chief Aaron Goldstein on Sunday afternoon identified the man killed as Brandon A. Johnson, 40. The investigation remains active but police aren't releasing additional information, Goldstein said.

Police are seeking possible suspects, but said no one has yet been taken into custody.

The Fond du Lac Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, police said.
