50 Fun Things You and Your Bestie Need to Check Off Your Bucket List ASAP

What’s better than a day spent with your bestie? Whether you’ve known them since Kindergarten or for just couple of months, watching your fave rom-coms, shopping (maybe for matching ’fits?), or even cramming for finals is so much more fun with your best friend by your side. There’s a special connection between BFFs, and your bond only gets stronger as time goes on, milestones are met, and unforgettable memories are made.

You spend practically every waking minute with your bestie — and the rest of the time talking and texting. So, sometimes you run out of ideas for what to do next. Sure, you love binge-watching your fave shows and laying around scrolling TikTok. But you want something new and fun to do together, like going on a road trip or heading to a musical festival. Or maybe you just need another excuse to hang out. You might already have a best friend bucket list, but here are 50 things you and your bestie can only do together. How many can you check off?

1. Send each other pictures the night before school to compare outfits.

2. FaceTime each other after spending all day at school together. Let’s face it, there is still lots to discuss.

3. Help curate each other’s Insta grids. And pen the most perfect captions.

4. Binge-watch your favorite YouTuber’s videos for hours on end.

5. Make endless amounts of TikToks together.

6. Look at old pictures and videos of each other and reminisce about all of your great memories.

7. Give each other the side-eye when you’re both in an awkward situation you need to escape.

8. Ask them to follow/request your ex’s new fling so they can keep an eye out for you.

9. Go on a double date because your BFF needs your opinion on their new boo. What else are friends for?

10. Ask them to take a million candid pics of you until you find the right one for your next IG post.

11. Take a road trip. Visit a cute town a couple hours away, or take the weekend to discover someplace new.

12. Head to a music festival or concert.

13. Be brutally honest in a way you wouldn’t be with other people. Yes, that text does sound a little clingy.

14. Tell them to comment a compliment under your latest post. Go best friend! That’s my best friend!

15. Support them, no matter what. Whether it’s helping them cram for their bio exam or sitting in the stands at every soccer game, you’re always there for your BFF.

16. Text them the link to a dress you’re planning to buy and ask them what they think.

17. Text each other outside the big friend group chat to comment on what the others are saying. We’ve all done it.

18. Create a special hashtag for all your BFF posts.

19. Send each other memes and GIFs you both relate to. Sometimes you have an entire conversation in GIFs, and that’s what best friends are for.

20. Help each other plan every detail of your birthday celebrations.

21. Post the most embarrassing throwback pics of each other. Especially if you two go way back.

22. Know all of each other’s drama. And you’re there always there to listen and offer advice.

23. Give each other the best pep talks before major life moments. Everyone needs words of encouragement.

24. Research every little detail about their crush. You scroll through their Instagram, check out their dating history, and learn just about everything there is to know about them.

25. Finish each other’s sentences. It’s corny, but it happens.

26. Memorize each other’s class schedules.

27. Ugly cry while watching The Notebook. Or any sappy com-com of your choice.

28. Head to the diner for an after-school gossip sesh.

29. Send screenshots of conversations between you and your crush. How else are you supposed to know what to say next?

30. Volunteer for a good cause. Giving back to those in need can bring you and your bestie even closer.

31. Borrow each other’s clothes... and “forget” to return them. What’s mine is yours and what’s yours is mine, right?

32. Take stuff from their fridge like it’s your own. It would just be weird if you asked first.

33. Call their mom when you can’t find them. Although you *probably* have each other on Find My Friends, too.

34. Stay in on a Saturday night binge-watching Netflix. We couldn’t think of anything better than this.

35. Spend holidays with each other’s families. Two Thanksgivings are better than one.

36. Hang out at their house when they’re not even there. You need to catch up with their parents or siblings, too!

37. Stalk each other on social media and then quiz them on everything they did without you.

38. Hang out for hours saying absolutely nothing. You’re so close you don’t even need words.

39. Laugh until you cry when they do something super embarrassing. It goes without saying that you’re concerned, and therefore, you’re allowed to laugh before you help.

40. Accidentally match without planning it. You kind of own all of the same things (but maybe sometimes you twin intentionally).

41. Make dance routines for your favorite songs. You only perform them in private, but you’re almost positive you guys could become the next best girl group.

42. Tell each other the 100 percent honest truth.

43. Fight then make up as soon as you realize you cannot live without them. It’s normal for friendships to go through ups and downs, and you find a way to work through any problems.

44. Make friendship bracelets. The cutest.

45. Interrogate each other’s significant other to make sure they are good enough.

46. Start a two-person book club. You’ve already been sending BookTok videos to each other back and forth constantly... and joined Open Book, Seventeen’s book club!

47. Have a spa day. DIY it at home, or book some treatments at a local spot.

48. Spend the day shopping.

49. Do each other’s makeup. You need to try out the latest viral TikTok product, obvi.

50. Find a go-to brunch spot. Saturdays are for avocado toasts and besties, ofc.
