400,000 IDPs – including 66,000 children – living in Kyiv as of May 24
“Of them, more than 66,000 are children under 18 years old,” the report says.
“Almost 14,000 are people with disabilities. About 250,000 moved to Kyiv from the warzone. That is, these are people who were left with almost nothing.”

This year, city authorities plan to allocate UAH 130 million ($3.5 million) for the purchase of communally owned housing and its transfer for temporary use by IDPs.
Compensation is provided to individuals who are citizens of Ukraine and homeowners, or their representatives, and who took in IDPs through the Prykhystok (Shelter) social program.
Prykhystok (Shelter) says that 12,261 IDPs have been accommodated in Kyiv, reads the report.
“Almost UAH 11 million ($300,804) have been paid as assistance.”
