400+ acts on 30+ Fort Collins stages: Here's your guide to FoCoMX

Ready for Fort Collins' FoCoMX transformation?

Old Town-area music venues, coffee shops, breweries, bars and even a bowling alley will be home to the city's annual Colorado music takeover, with more than 400 musical acts set to perform on more than 30 stages April 28 and 29.

Here's what to know about the annual music festival.

How FoCoMX works

More than 400 acts are set to take over various Fort Collins venues starting at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, and noon Saturday, April 29. The lineup ranges from soulful singer-songwriters to stand-up comedians, with nearly two dozen music genres represented. To get into most participating FoCoMX venues throughout the weekend, you'll need a wristband. FoCoMX wristbands are available for $50 at focoma.org/focomx/tickets until Thursday, April 27. After that, they cost $60. Wristband pickup starts April 28 at Elevations Credit Union, 221 E. Mountain Ave.

Pro tip: Be sure not to take your wristband off for the weekend as you'll need it on your wrist to gain access to most of the weekend's shows.

  • This year's lineup will feature free live music in Old Town Square.

  • The Fort Collins Musicians Association, which puts on FoCoMX, will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most musicians performing a song at one time. The attempt will take place at the Lyric, 1209 N. College Ave., on April 30.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the date of the post-FoCoMX Guinness World Record attempt. It will take place April 30 at the Lyric.
