40th Annual Orchid Show returning to Hershey Gardens
HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) – Hershey Gardens will host the Susquehanna Orchid Society (SOS) for their 40th annual orchid show and sale from Feb. 2 to Feb. 4.
The show will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day with almost 1,000 orchids on site, including many rare species and hybrids. There will be special seminars and demonstrations and SOS members will be onsite to help plant buyers select the correct orchid for their home’s environment.
If you are already an orchid owner, you can bring your orchid to be repotted at the “Repot Spot” where the SOS will help with repotting and dividing. If you have questions about your orchid there will be an “Ask the Orchid Experts” station as well.
Pennsylvania and Maryland orchid societies will have orchids on display that will be judged for contests as well as orchids that have won national awards from the American Orchid Society.

Sunday, Feb. 4
10 a.m. – Growing & Blooming Tolumnia Orchids
11 a.m. – Slipper Orchid Culture & Care
Noon – How to Divide & Repot Orchids
1 p.m. – Growing Media – How to Choose
2 p.m. – Growing Cymbidium Orchids
Access to the orchid show and sale is included in general admission to Hershey Gardens. Tickets can be purchased ahead of the event at HersheyGardens.org or upon arrival.
