4th suspect in Las Vegas deadly shooting arrested in California

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police arrested a fourth suspect in a January shooting in the east valley that left a man dead.

On Wednesday, Jan. 17 at around midnight, officers were called to the 1400 block of Helen Belle Drive after a report of a shooting.

Arriving officers found a man who had been shot inside a residence. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police said the victim was involved in a fight with “several” people before he was shot. No suspects were still at the residence when police arrived.

On Jan. 24, Shaleece Brown, 33, turned herself in to authorities after police identified her as a suspect in the case. She faces charges of open murder, conspiracy to commit murder, child abuse or neglect, and residential burglary.

A few days later on Jan. 31, police arrested a second suspect, David Lynn Coulson, Sr., 56, in Los Angeles. He faces a charge of open murder.

Veronica Nezey, 54, was identified by police as a third suspect in the case after she turned herself in to authorities at the Clark County Detention Center on Feb. 5, Las Vegas Metropolitan police said.

Detectives identified Jimmy Johnson, 45, as the fourth suspect in the case. The Anaheim Police Department took Johnson into custody on Feb. 14.

Johnson will remain in custody on a warrant for open murder pending extradition to Las Vegas. A booking photo for Johnson was not immediately available.
