5 arrested, 1 Baker Act executed during Niceville narcotics search: Police

NICEVILLE, Fla. (WKRG) — Five people were arrested, and one was Baker Acted recently during the execution of a search warrant, according to the Niceville Police Department.

The NPD’s Facebook post said the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and NPD executed a narcotics search warrant on March 27 at a home on the 100 block of College Cove.

At that time, five people were arrested. Their names have not been released.

One person was Baker Acted. The Baker Act is a law that allows families to place family members in a temporary detention center to be examined and treated for mental illnesses, according to previous reporting.
