While nothing beats the Apple iPad in our book when it comes to tablets, we found the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 10 to offer plenty of bang for your buck when pitted against other tablet options. Its large, bright display and expandable storage were among its top attributes, and right now, you can pre-order a similar model, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8, which has all of those same perks, for delivery between April 26 to 28 at a discounted price of $49.99—$30 off its regular list of $79.99. According to our tester, Séamus Bellamy, the HD 8 is another "great little tablet” that will suit casual readers just fine.
