Liberty Home Guard is fairly new to the home warranty industry, but it caught our eye thanks to its array of 30 additional coverage options. These options can be added to any of Liberty Home Guard's already competitive plans that cover appliances, systems, and a combination of the two.
When reviewing the company's sample contract, we noticed additional coverage mainly included core components and parts rather than accessories for the items in question. For example, the contract states that the company covers "all mechanical components and parts" of a stand-alone freezer but not ice makers, water lines, beverage dispensers, internal shells, racks, shelves, knobs, caps, dials, and components of the door. In a nutshell, Liberty Home Guard's add-ons are great for the routine maintenance of an item, but not the cosmetics of it.
