5 of the biggest Kardashian-Jenner Photoshop fails

The pressure to look good on camera has only increased with social media. Instagram is full of perfectly manicured people in idyllic places, seemingly leading ideal lives. Most people know not to buy the hype, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t get to us sometimes.

Even the Kardashian-Jenner clan has had a few photo-editing faux pas. There’s nothing more yikes than when a tailored illusion is a little too obvious. In The Know has rounded up a few Photoshop fails from everyone’s favorite reality TV family.

1. Kim’s extra hand

Remember when Kim Kardashian posted that cool reptile-themed photo? A snakeskin pattern covered her lower back and was even mimicked on her long hair strands. But if you look closely on the right side of the photo, there’s an extra set of fingers peeking through her hair. Spooky!

2. Kourtney’s broken leg

Then there was that time Kourtney Kardashian had elongated legs. In the photo, Kourt is lying on her side, naked in a bubble bath (with some strategically placed bubbles). But her left leg looks extended or broken — something is definitely off.

3. & 4. Mother-daughter photo warps

But every internet detective knows to look for wavy backgrounds when sussing out photo editing. Like in Kylie Jenner’s “taco Tuesday” poolside photos. You can very clearly see the shadow warped underneath her thigh. (Kylie later cropped the warp out according to Seventeen.) It’s a trick she might have learned from mom Kris Jenner who used it to make her arms appear slimmer.

5. Kylie’s confusing body proportions

Finally, there are the morphed body parts. In a photo with Kylie and Stassie Karanikolaou, both of the women’s waists, arms and thighs look like they’ve been digitally slimmed. Kim used a similar trick to trim her waist for a mirror selfie in 2015. But when paparazzi photos showed her in the same outfit, fans knew it was an illusion.

Photo editing is an old trick of the trade. It’s important to have fun with filters and things like that, but remember the best version of you is just the regular ole you.
