5 New England restaurants named among Yelp’s top 100 places to eat in America in 2023
New England is home to 5 of the top 100 places to eat in the U.S., according to a new ranking released by Yelp.
From local favorites, to top trends like birria, vegan food, or tiny sushi bars, Yelp has discovered the best places in the country and then has reviewed their experiences for the rest of us.
“This 10th anniversary of Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants list, we’re excited to reveal this year’s most popular and highly rated restaurants, according to our users, Yelp wrote.
Broken Mouth in Los Angeles took the top spot for best restaurant in the U.S., for its homestyle comfort food and flavors.
“Chef-owner Tim Lee that has earned 5 stars across more than 1,000 reviews for specialties such as Spam Musubi (“sushi” with canned meat and purple rice) and Meat Jun, a traditional fried beef dish that Yelpers say reminds them of home,” Yelp wrote on their site.
When it comes to New England, these restaurants made the list:
56. Sandra’s Next Generation, New Haven, Connecticut
59. Root, Newport, Rhode Island
83. YiaYia’s Greek Kitchen, Torrington, Connecticut
84. Taqueria El Amigo, Waltham, Massachusetts
97. Silver Fork, Manchester, Vermont
