Three students were accepted into the United State Military Academy at West Point, one to the Naval Academy, and the fifth will attend the Air Force Academy.

Chase Adams of Dayton, Worship Akpan of Englewood, and Owen Russell of Kettering will each be at the U.S. Military in West Point, New York. Abigail Hammond of Fairborn got accepted into the Naval Academy and Jett Williams of Oakwood will be in the Air Force.

Williams said growing up with his dad, a pilot, impacted his decision.

“Growing up around aviation, I was always surrounded by planes,” he said.

Dayton Congressman Mike Turner honored the students with a certificate for their acceptance.
