Join Davidson College in celebrating the inauguration of the school’s new president, Douglas Hicks. The inauguration ceremony will be from 2:30-4 p.m., followed by a community celebration from 4-8 p.m with food, music, games and giveaways. Check out the Uncorked & Artsy event in downtown Mooresville. There will be 16 wine and beer tastings, an art walk, live music, store specials and light appetizers served both inside of businesses and outside on the sidewalks. Tuesday, April 4

Go on a ghost tour through Davidson. Learn about the town’s history, legend and ghosts during the 90 minute event. During the spring season, tours are offered Thursday and Saturday nights starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.
