5 Myrtle Beach SC coffee shops selling unique Christmas drinks to spice up your holiday season

With the hubbub of the holidays, you’ll need coffee to keep you running. Why not enjoy the flavors of the season at the same time?

From peppermint and eggnog to gingerbread and butter rum, Christmas treats are delicious in coffee drinks.

Whether you prefer your drinks hot, iced, or even coffee-free, here are some seasonal holiday beverages at five Myrtle Beach-area cafes.

Beach Hippie Coffee

Location: 5311 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

Beach Hippie Coffee has seven holiday drinks, but their coffee flights mean you don’t have to choose. For $15, try four of their holiday lattes, including Snow on the Beach (coconut and white mocha) and the Polar Express (frosted mint and dark chocolate, a collaboration with local business MINDZERO). All of their holiday drinks can also be made a la carte.

Birchin Lane

Location: 9620 N Kings Hwy. E4, Myrtle Beach

To enjoy holiday coffee at home, try Birchin Lane’s in-house roasted bean. Their Holidays are a Beach blend has caramel, pecan and coconut flavors. You can bring home the Myrtle Beach-roasted coffee as a whole bean or K-Cup form, or test out a pour over in the cafe. If you prefer espresso drinks, order a Gingerbread Cookie latte, topped with gingersnap cookie crumbles.

Café Gelato

Location: 7901 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

Café Gelato brings an Italian flair to their holiday coffees. Sample the Italian Eggnog latte, made with a zabaióne syrup. It has more flavor than traditional American eggnog. Their non-alcoholic Butter Rum latte is one of their most popular holiday drinks. Ordering it hot brings out the flavors of cinnamon and caramel.

Earth Cafe

Location: 3811 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

At Earth Cafe, enjoy holiday drinks alongside their signature allergy-friendly brunches and lunches. Not a coffee fan? Sip the Peppermint Matcha latte, with peppermint and vanilla syrup and a milk of your choice. If you love iced drinks, add Earth Cafe’s peppermint cold foam to any cold drink for a wintry touch.

While Christmas shopping at Broadway at the Beach, fuel up at Social Coffee Shop, next door to the Tinder Box. Try their brown sugar cinnamon latte in hot or decadent frappe form. If you’re feeling adventurous, sample their traditional Turkish coffee, made using imported beans and coffee machine.
