The Bay Area's shelter-in-place order has brought countless events usually held as in-person gatherings online. We're aiming to support local businesses in San Francisco and Oakland by highlighting five of these events each day.

Got a suggestion for an online event based in SF or Oakland? Email our events reporter, Teresa Hammerl.

Here's your SF events calendar for Tuesday, April 21. Play "Purple Rain" in remembrance of Prince, learn how to belly-dance or watch a documentary about the Tenderloin’s early queer movements — all from the comfort of your couch.

At noon, he'll be playing the song "Purple Rain" from the tower of the church-turned-roller rink at Fell and Fillmore streets, and is encouraging others to do the same from their homes or cars.

When: Tuesday, April 21, 12 p.m.
