Products on Deep Discount in November

Brace yourself. It’s November, which means the holidays are approaching—and you’ll soon find yourself perusing wish lists and hitting the malls, if you haven’t already begun.

More than 40 percent of shoppers plan to start buying gifts this month, according to a recent survey by the National Retail Federation, while 18 percent say they will wait till December. A contingent of early birds (39 percent) began shopping last month.

Holiday shoppers plan to spend a bit a more this year, an average $1,048, up 4 percent over the previous year, according to the survey.

Fortunately, there are plenty of deals available on everything from home goods to major appliances to electronics. You don’t even have to wait till Black Friday to take advantage of these bargains.

The holiday sales tend to kick off on Veterans Day weekend and continue through Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But lately, these big spending events have become less important for shoppers because retailers offer sales and special discounts throughout the year.

Our analysts track prices year-round, so if you want to know what’s on sale in other months, check out our calendar of deals. We also have the tips and buying guides you need to find the best products for your money.

Televisions
In recent years, TVs have consistently ranked near the top of most-wanted tech gift lists, according to a recent report by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), an industry group.

From screen size and type to price and features, rapidly improving television technology presents more options than ever. You might consider one with high dynamic range (HDR) or Ultra High Definition for more vivid pictures and sharper clarity.

Laptops
Laptop are another popular gift item, according to the CTA, and they offer plenty of mobility, with some models weighing just a couple of pounds.

Choosing among laptop, desktop, and 2-in-1 models? Each has its pros and cons when it comes to portability, cost, screen size, and battery life.
