5 shot, 1 killed in overnight shootings in Baltimore, police say

Four people were injured and one person was killed in two separate shootings across Baltimore early Thursday morning, police said.

500 block of W. Franklin St. in Central Baltimore’s Seton Hall neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found three men, ages 19, 24, and 30 suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

All victims were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. A 21-year-old woman, who police say was also injured in the shooting, later walked into a area hospital with a grazed gunshot wound, police said.

Just over an hour later around 1:52 a.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Kenhill Ave. in the Berea neighborhood in East Baltimore. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Ethan Ellerbe sitting inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Ellerbe was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
