5-star QB Arch Manning expected to visit Georgia this weekend

Five-star quarterback Arch Manning is expected to visit Georgia this weekend.

This would be the third time Manning has visited Georgia. He took an unofficial visit to the school last summer and attended the Bulldogs' matchup against South Carolina on Sept. 18.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart has also been to Isidore Newman to watch Manning play football and basketball this past fall and winter, respectively. Bulldogs offensive coordinator Todd Monken and passing game coordinator Bryan McClendon are his lead recruiters, according to 247Sports.

At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Manning is the No. 1 recruit in the nation, according to 247 Sports Composite. He has visited Texas, Ole Miss, Clemson and Alabama twice, as well as SMU and LSU last summer.

Manning won the Division III state basketball championship last week, as Newman defeated Lafayette Christian, 56-47. In football, the Greenies lost to Lafayette Christian in the Division III semifinals, 49-7.
