5 teens died in a Fort Myers crash. Here are the stories of how family, friends remember them
On Monday, June 26, police found five teens in a car submerged in a retention pond near Topgolf in Fort Myers.
Eric Paul, 19; Jackson Eyre, 18; Amanda Ferguson, 18; Breanna Coleman, 18; all of whom worked together at Texas Roadhouse, and Jesus Salinas, 18, died in the crash west of Interstate 75 and south of Colonial Boulevard.
Here's how family, friends and teachers remembered them:
Jackson Eyre
Those who were close to Jackson Eyre saw the promise and positivity he displayed at such a young age.
A graduate of South Fort Myers High, Eyre planned on becoming a welder and enrolled to attend Fort Myers Technical College this fall.

Eric Paul planned to become an EMT firefighter, his dad said, and had less than a year of coursework left. Unlike many kids who can’t wait to leave the nest, Paul was happy with his family and being a big brother to his little siblings: sister Shyanne, 6 and brother Javaun, 4.

Memorial at Texas Roadhouse honors teens
Teary eyes and warm embraces were exchanged beneath the orange and pink hues of the sunset sky an hour before Thursday’s memorial at Texas Roadhouse began.
"They made the sky look pretty for us today," Tahir Stephens said, gazing toward the clouds.
