Jan. 13—Local flavors

"Taste of Westmoreland" is the theme for Art on Tap 2.0,

from 6 to 8 p.m. today at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main St., Greensburg.

The 21-and-older happy hour will feature libations and light bites from local vendors, including Bella Terra Vineyards, Salem Spirits Moonshine, Caffé Barista and McFeely's Gourmet Chocolate.

James Gerald and Detention will provide music. Guests can take an art scavenger hunt through the galleries.

Trivial pursuit

Trivia night starts at 7:30 tonight at Green Beacon Gallery, 235 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg.

Host Zach Wurm will preside over a round of questions pertaining to Jason Voorhees, the hockey-masked menace from the "Friday the 13th" movie franchise. The top team wins prizes. Players are asked to arrive a few minutes early.

Trivia will be followed by a screening of the 2001 science fiction/slasher film "Jason X."

Outside food and beverages are allowed; the event is BYOB for those 21 and older. Admission is free; donations are accepted.

Music legends

It's a celebration of music legends this weekend at Irwin's Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St.:

—Direct From Branson: Tribute to the King, 7 p.m. today. The Elvis Presley tribute stars Matthew and Spencer Boyce and the Suspicious Minds Band.

—B!tch Is Back: A Tribute to Sir Elton John, 7 p.m. Saturday. The show is a production of the Direct From Branson series.

—A Man Named Cash: A Tribute to the Man in Black, 6 p.m. Sunday. Eric Hofmanis portrays Johnny Cash, joined by Megan Houde as June Carter Cash.

Jumpin' and jivin'

Mike Urick and The Model­aires will play their first show of 2023 from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Four Seasons Brewing Co., 745 Lloyd Ave. Ext., Latrobe.

Comprising the founder and many former members of Neon Swing X-perience, the band plays a variety of vintage Americana music styles, including big-band, swing, rockabilly, hot jazz and blues. Tunes include arrangements from the original Modelaires, a dance band formed in Jeannette in the early 1940s by Urick's grandfather.

Cavanaugh's Wedding Show is planned for 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday at Ferrante's Lake­view, 6153 Route 30, Hempfield.

The exposition will feature representatives of bridal shops, along with vendors of other wedding, shower and rehearsal-related goods and services.

Giveaways and prizes are planned. Lakeview's signature drinks will be available.
