1.We know that Christmas is magical for children, but laughter & sleight of hand can make it fun for adults, too. Magic for Adults: Christmas Special features the comedy and magic of Eric Eaten of the hit show Masters of Illusion. 2.What’s better than a Saturday? A Second Saturday Downtown, that’s what! Second Saturdays are filled with arty opportunities; this weekend features five art exhibits, a gingerbread village inhabited with art vendors, shopping, food specials, and pop ups. 3.For some, it’s hard to find the holiday spirit without the grand tradition of The Nutcracker. It’s back, along with the talented Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and artists Marena Pérez and Daniel Saez of the Mauro Ballet Company. All told, the performance will feature more than 100 local dancers in a story that never seems to grow old. When: Sat., Dec. 10 @ 6:30 pm and Sun., Dec. 11 @ 2:30 pm. 4.Even if you don’t have tickets to The Nutcracker, you can come and shop the Nutcracker Market! Riverview Hall will be filled with festive vendors offering candles, glassware, clothing, jewelry, and holiday goods galore! 5.Got time to squeeze in a Date Night with that special someone? Robinson Film Center has made it easy. Come enjoy dinner and the romantic fun of the movie Love Actually, a story of nine couples and their wildly frantic love lives. It will be a welcome break in your busy holiday season.
