Ernestine M. Raclin, who died Thursday at the age of 95, left a lasting legacy in the South Bend area community as a businesswoman, a leader and a philanthropist.   • Born October 25, 1927

  • Younger daughter of Ernie and Ella Morris

  • Was a two time-world champion equestrian by 14

  • She married O.C. “Mike” Carmichael Jr. at age 18, and they welcomed four children together

  • After Carmichael’s death in 1976, she went on to marry Robert “Bob” Raclin (who died in 2008), and welcomed his four children and their spouses into her family
