5 THINGS TO KNOW: What is happening at this weekend's HallowsCon in McAlester?

Oct. 20—Organizers for the inaugural HallowsCon give information on events happening this weekend at the Southeast Expo Center. The event is sponsored by New Class Wrestling Organization, the City of McAlester, and CreatorsCon.

1 How much is admission and what are the dates?

Admission if paid online by 10/20 $20. Tickets at the door will be $25. VIP A and B tickets are $100 and are limited to 10 each. Children under 6 are free with a $5 discount for veterans and first responders.

2 Who are some guests and panelists that will be in attendance?

Wrestler Tatanka, voice actor Jeremy Inman, actor Kendra Wall-Dahl, and Justin Nimmo from Power Rangers in Space will be in attendance Saturday. Emmy Award winning illustrator Gregory Peters, Forged Foam, Cheeky Cheetah, Butthead Studios, Maddi Rice, Tabitha Slick, and Ms. Oklahoma Carlie Pierce will be present both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday only guests are Lisa Watson and Christopher Murdock.

3 What are some events going on?

The stars of NCWO Wrestling will be on hand for shows on both Saturday and Sunday with live wrestling action with your paid admission to HallowsCon. There will also be costume and prop builders doing discussions and panels, and a kid's zone with DIY projects/ inflatables.

The Guthrie Gunfighters will also be holding shows on Saturday every hour between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

4 Are there any contests?

Yes, there will be contests held for individual crafted, masquerade, group, kids, and pets, with winners receiving a cash prize and two tickets to any CreatorsCon held in 2024. A creators challenge involving pumpkin carving will also be held with more rules and how to enter found at www.creatorsconvention.com.
