5 things to know about Jetty's restaurant in Jupiter after sale
Jetty's restaurant in Jupiter is one of a handful of long-lived iconic eateries in Palm Beach County. On the shores of the Loxahatchee River just inside the Jupiter Inlet, the waterfront restaurant has a view of the historic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and front-row seats to the maritime activity near the inlet, including paddle-boarders, kayakers, snorkelers and boaters.

What's the history of Jetty's?
Jetty's was originally called Southern Star. The name was changed to Jetty's after it was purchased in the early 1990s by siblings Jim and Deborah Taube for $1.6 million. Jim died in 2021 at the age of 73. Deborah is “ready to move on,” according to Patrick Koenig, who knew the pair for 30 years and is part of the investment group that bought Jetty’s on Feb. 21.

What is Jetty's known for?
In addition to the breathtaking view of the historic Jupiter Lighthouse, Jetty's is known as a family-friendly restaurant where employees and guests often know each other. The menu includes classic steak and seafood dishes such as Maine lobster tail, pecan crusted salmon, grouper, local yellowtail snapper, bbq baby back ribs, rib-eye steaks and filet mignon. Prices run from $15 for an appetizer to more than $40 for an entree.
How are Jetty's and 'The Bachelorette' connected?
Jupiter native Tyler Cameron competed on the reality TV show 'The Bachelorette' in 2019. Cameron and season star Hannah Brown went on a date in Jupiter with the episode showing scenes of Jetty's, the Square Grouper Tiki Bar and Jupiter Lighthouse.

Jetty's has had other notable mentions by celebrities
Polka King Jimmy Sturr, nominated for 24 Grammy’s for Best Polka Album and 18–time winner told Palm Beach Post reporter Leslie Gray Streeter in 2008 that as a part-time Singer island resident when he’s not attending the Grammy ceremony, “sometimes we go to Jettys ... Even (if I win) for some unknown reason I always get stuck with the check,” he said.
What will happen to Jetty's now that it's been sold?
A group of investors paid $7.5 million to buy Jetty's in February. But Koenig, who is co-founder of the West Palm Beach-based Flagler Realty & Development and one of the investors, said there are no changes planned for Jetty's. The new owners want to continue the legacy of the Jim and Deborah Taube by keeping the restaurant as-is.
