5 THINGS TO KNOW: Local businesses host Christmas in July event

Jul. 19—Three Twenty on Main Owner Susan Gebhart shares information regarding the upcoming Christmas in July event that includes a Fashion Show, Fall Preview and Holiday Gift Guide.

1. What is the Christmas in July event?

Businesses throughout Claremore will be set up for the second Christmas in July from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Twenty Three on Main, 320 W. Will Rogers Blvd. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about participating businesses, meet owners and receive a Fall Preview and Holiday Gift guide. There will also be a fashion show with LeAnne Taylor from Six in the Morning — all clothes displayed in the fashion show will be from local businesses. Visit Claremore Director Tanya Andrews will give a presentation on upcoming initiatives at Visit Claremore. Brunch will be provided by Front Porch Bakery. There will be a coffee bar and non-alcoholic mimosas.

2. Who will be participating?

Participating Claremore businesses include Sailor Antiques, Vintique Charm, The District on Main, The Klassy Girl Boutique, Cozy Cottage, Bling Claremore, Ethos Yoga & Fitness, Dorothy's Flowers, Farmhaus, Doe's Eat pLace, Studio B, Thrift Harbor, New Perspective and more.

3. Where are tickets sold?

Tickets are $20 and are sold at Sailor Antiques, Vintique Charm and The District on Main. Tickets are limited and the deadline to purchase a ticket is Wednesday. Attendees will leave with a swag bag containing promotional material, coupons, specials, and stuff from participating businesses.

4. What is the goal of this event?

The goal of this event is is to create a fun event for the community that helps raise awareness of the businesses in town. Gebhart said they are not fund raising and the tickets cover the cost of brunch and event insurance. They host a variety of events along Will rogers Boulevard throughout the year including Holiday Open House, 12 Days of Christmas, Mardi Gras Parade, and more. These events serve as a way to have fun and support local businesses. The next event is the Holiday Open House from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 1.

5. When did this event get started?

Christmas in July began in 2019 and was sold out. The event was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
