BOCA RATON Season five winners of "Love Island USA" Marco Donatelli and Hannah Wright have made headlines for weeks since their exit from the reality dating TV show.

In love, $100,000 richer and not knowing they'd soon be recognized at places like Walmart, the couple parted from the villa that brought them together in Fiji to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where they were greeted by groups of practically all demographics. It shocked Wright, but in a pleasantly surprising way.

So, what is it that makes them so lovable, not only to one another, but to outsiders who only know them through their television screens?

Here's what we know about the "Love Island USA" winning couple.

The show, which launched in the United States in July 2019, lasts around five weeks. Donatelli, 22, and Wright, 24, hit it off on the second day of what would later become the 40-day series.

People found them relatable. They're both pretty reserved, Wright said, but with one another, opening up felt comfortable. And it taught them, post-filming, that those same viewers just wanted to be their friends.

"He's always always going be Marco," Wright said. "And I don't want to change him."

The 'Love Island USA' winners are decided by votes from the public

On 'American Idol,' audience members can vote for their favorite performers. Viewers of 'Big Brother' can vote for the houseguest of their choice, too. Peacock TV's 'Love Island USA' is no different. The winning couple is decided by votes from fans. They're even awarded a cash prize of $100,000 at the end, which they split.

But aside from being relatable, Donatelli found that showing viewers "love can happen on reality TV with your best friend" was key to earning trust from fans.

A future for the 'Love Island USA' stars in Boca Raton?

Donatelli, a chiropractic student at Florida Atlantic University, sees his future in Boca Raton. For Wright, a teacher from Palm Springs, California, relocating doesn't seem to be an issue.

"I love it," Wright said of Boca Raton, a mere 2,630 miles from Palm Springs, a desert city in Southern California. Earlier this month, it was her first time visiting Boca and Florida, in general. "People are so nice and so friendly. The weather is good."

And for Donatelli, showing Wright around meant a lot.

"I'm so happy to be able to bring her here and show her where I live," he said. "On the show I said that I'm cemented here, kind of. I started my life, I own a couple properties here, I'm in school here."

Donatelli and Wright tailgated at FAU

Right after adventuring in California, Donatelli and Wright headed to Marco's city — Boca Raton.

They were greeted at the airport bright and early by 10 of Donatelli's friends, who blasted DJ Khaled’s "All I Do Is Win," at around eight o'clock in the morning. But after that, an FAU football game tailgate brought them even closer to the community.

"Thousands of people were supporting us, asking for pictures, just giving us their support," Donatelli said. "I tried to have as many people come to support the FAU football team because I think it's important after our basketball run," he said, referring to the FAU men's basketball team's Cinderella season in which they reached the Final Four.

When would Hannah Wright of 'Love Island USA' move to Florida?

For Wright, the sooner the better. The pair is in Ohio right now sharing time with Donatelli's relatives and, afterward, Wright will head back home to California.

“But nothing's tying me to California, which is good,” she said.

She is aiming to relocate after the holidays, but before next spring.
