1. Downtown St. Patrick's Day parade

Downtown Milwaukee's St. Patrick's Day parade begins at noon March 11 at North King Drive and West Wisconsin Avenue and ends at North Water Street and Highland Avenue. The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin hosts a post-parade party from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Irish Cultural & Heritage Center, 2133 W. Wisconsin Ave. The parade is free; admission to the party is $8, free for kids younger than 12, $20 for a family. Info: saintpatricksparade.org.

2. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show returns to State Fair Park's Wisconsin Expo Center this weekend, with more than 100 exhibitors, the popular Trout Pond, the Timberworks Lumberjack Show and more. The Sports Show runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 9-11 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 12. 3. Food & Froth at Milwaukee Public Museum

4. Professional Bull Riders' Milwaukee Invitational at Fiserv Forum

Professional Bull Riders' (PBR) Unleash The Beast competition comes back to Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum for the PBR Milwaukee Invitational March 11-12. The first two rounds of competition start at 6:45 p.m. March 11; the championship round begins at 1:45 p.m. March 12. Tickets start at $16. Info: fiservforum.com.

5. Harriet Tubman Water Day Hike
