Neil Young Unplugged Tribute

The Marion Ross Performing Arts Center will host a Neil Young tribute show at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Featured artists will be Gregg Hall on vocals and guitar, Chris Castino on vocals and guitar, Dedrick Benz on bass, Greg Schmidt on drums and Dan Kimpel on pedal steel. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students.

Melissa Schulz live at Bleachers

Come to Bleachers from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday to hear live music from Waseca-based artist Melissa Schulz. Stop in for food and drinks while you enjoy Schulz's pop, rock and country music style.

Live Music by James Bracken at 112 on Broadway

Indie-folk solo artist James Bracken will be at the 112 on Broadway from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Bracken has toured in both the U.S. and Europe, has one E.P. and one full length album under the name EchoMessenger.

"Murder on Elm Street"

Join the Freeborn County Historical Museum, Library & Village and hear the chilling true story of Elm Street. The event is hosted by retired law enforcement officer Jeremy L. Luberts as he shares his role in investigating a burglary in which two teenagers break into the residence of a retired homeowner and lose their lives. The case quickly sparked a nationwide debate over just how far people can go to protect themselves in their own homes. The event, which starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, is free to members and $5 for nonmembers. Memberships start at $30 annually.

Life After Fifty-Five

People aged 55 and older are invited to Bridge Community Church for a Life After Fifty-Five (LAFF) event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Freeborn County Sheriff Ryan Shea will be the guest speaker. There will also be a potluck meal, so attendees are asked to bring a dish to share and invite a friend.
