Sep. 29—For those about to rock

Downtown Irwin will be rockin' and rollin' this weekend, with these concerts at The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St.:

—Foreigners Journey, featuring Constantine Maroulis, 8 p.m. Friday. The tribute band performs hits from both Foreigner and Journey, along with originals by front man Maroulis, the sixth-place finisher on "American Idol" in 2005 and a 2009 Tony Award nominee for his lead role in "Rock of Ages." Tickets are $39.

—Night Train — The Guns n' Roses Experience, 8 p.m. Saturday. The band re-creates the visual and musical atmosphere of a classic GnR concert and has performed on bills with bands including Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and Buckcherry. Tickets are $25.

In the pink

Westmoreland Walks will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its annual Pink Ribbon Walk, beginning with registration at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pavilion 7 in Twin Lakes Park, Twin Lakes Road, Unity. Walkers will set out around the park at 11 a.m.

The walk raises funds for the local grassroots organization that supports breast cancer research through the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and assists area patients and their families experiencing hardships because of the disease through services and scholarships.

Fall jamboree

The third annual Fall Craft & Apple Jamboree is set for noon-5 p.m. Sunday at St. Bruno Church, 1715 Poplar St., South Greensburg.

The event will feature locally sourced and handmade crafts; food including sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and homemade apple dumplings; hot apple cider and beer garden; Steelers watch party on an outdoor big screen; children's activities; and live music.

A basket raffle, 50-50 tickets, instant bingo, dime toss and gift card booth will be available.

Autumn get-together

East Suburban Citizen Advocacy will host its second annual fall festival from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Pavilion D of Hempfield Park, 220 Forbes Trail Road.

The event will feature lunch, yard games and a craft activity. ESCA will provide pizza and drinks; attendees are asked to bring a small side dish or dessert to pass.

Nothing up their sleeves

"Masters of Illusion Live," the touring version of the CW Network television show, comes to the stage of The Palace Theatre in Greensburg at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The show includes cutting-edge illusions, levitation, escapes, comedy magic, sleight of hand, mind magic and dancers, all performed live with no camera tricks or computer graphics.

Tickets are $23-$60. The performance was rescheduled from Oct. 10, 2021; all tickets for the original date will be honored.
