1. Bajamar Seafood & Tacos
Topping the list is Bajamar Seafood & Tacos. Located at 1615 S. Las Vegas Blvd. in West Huntridge, it is the highest-rated inexpensive Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas, boasting five stars out of 607 reviews on Yelp.
The restaurant offers Baja-style fish tacos. Options include shrimp marinated in lime juice with beets, onions, carrots and habanero chile on a bed of cucumbers and a dish of french fries, shrimp, carne asada, chipotle sauce, pasilla chile and sautéed onion.
2. Tacos El Gordo
Tacos El Gordo, located at 1724 E. Charleston Blvd. in the Arts District, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the spot four stars out of 1,764 reviews.
The restaurant's website says it offers authentic Tijuana tacos. Handmade corn tortillas and house-made guacamole and salsa are featured. Menu items include spiced pork, grilled beef, brisket, beef tongue, pork stomach and chorizo tacos.
3. Sin Fronteras Tacos
Sin Fronteras Tacos in Lone Mountain is another much-loved, budget-friendly go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 333 Yelp reviews. Head over to 4016 N. Tenaya Way to see for yourself.
Fish, shrimp, veggie and chorizo tacos are among the many options. Sides include asada fries, shrimp and mango ceviche, chips and salsa and nachos with cheese sauce, beans and cheese.
4. Fat Boy
Check out Fat Boy, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 330 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the by heading over to 4425 Stewart St., Suite 107, in east Las Vegas.
Chicken, beef and ham and egg burritos are offered, in addition to quesadillas, burgers, pizzas, wing and sandwiches.
5. Frijoles & Frescas
Last but not least, there's Frijoles & Frescas, a local favorite with four stars out of 545 reviews. Stop by 7000 W. Charleston Blvd. to see for yourself.
Grilled tacos are the restaurant's signature offering, along with fresh fruit drinks. Tacos include carne asada, marinated chicken and grilled shrimp. Sides include Mexican street corn, beans and rice and guacamole.
