On Thursday, Shreveport City Councilman Alan Jackson posted on Facebook a screenshot of an online meeting with rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, seemingly confirming the entertainer's interest in developing Millennium Studios.

"Amazing zoom Call with Curtis 50 Cent Jackson. We are one step closer. Thank you to all the City Council members who are working diligently to assist in putting this proposal together," the post read.

Jackson was seen in late February touring the studio, which was bought by the city in 2022 for $3.8 million. He also toured Louisiana Stageworks and Independence Stadium.

In late 2022, a bill to extend Louisiana's $180 million annual movie and TV tax credit for three years until 2028 was rejected by the Louisiana House likely closing the curtain on the effort for two years.
