50 Cent with Busta Rhymes, Jeremih schedule summer concert at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater

50 Cent, with Busta Rhymes and Jeremih, will play the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater at 7 p.m. Aug. 22, according to a release from Birmingham-based Red Mountain Entertainment, which books and runs the venue.

Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. May 12, through www.ticketmaster.com, or at the Amp box office, 2710 Jack Warner Parkway. The verified fan registration window is 11 a.m. Thursday through 11 p.m. Sunday, with verified fan presale beginning at 10 a.m. May 10. Prices, not including taxes and fees, will be $149.50, $119.50, $99.50, $69.50 and $39.50.

50 Cent

Curtis James Jackson III, who uses the name 50 Cent, is a rapper, producer, actor and businessman born in Queens. He worked with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC, and had cut a planned release titled "Power of the Dollar" in 2000, though days before it was to hit, he was shot, taking months to recover.

Columbia released him from a publishing deal, so he began cutting mixtapes , including the 2002 "Guess Who's Back?," until signed to Shady Records. Assisted by Eminem and Dr. Dre, 50 Cent cut "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," his major-label debut. It went to No. 1 on the strength of singles including "In da Club," "21 Questions," "P.I.M.P.," "If I Can't" and "Magic Stick," the latter a collaboration with rapper Lil' Kim.

He's cut five studio discs, 10 mixtapes, two video albums, four compilation albums, two soundtrack albums, 76 singles (26 of them as a featured artist) and 88 music videos. His first three discs went multi-platinum. Other hits include "Candy Shop," "Disco Inferno," "Just a Lil Bit," "Hustler's Ambition," "Window Shopper," "Best Friend," "Ayo Technology," "Straight to the Bank," "Amusement Park," "I Get Money," "I'll Still Kill," "Baby By Me," and "My Life."

Busta Rhymes

Trevor George Smith Jr. is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor who performs as Busta Rhymes, a nickname given him by Chuck D of Public Enemy. Rhymes' group Leaders of the New School first drew wide attention when opening on tour for Public Enemy, then making a guest appearance on A Tribe Called Quest's "Scenario."

As a solo artist, he's received 12 Grammy Award nominations, releasing 10 albums, with hits including "Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check," "It's a Party," "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See," "Dangerous," "Turn It Up" (Remix)/"Fire It Up," "Gimme Some More," "What's It Gonna Be?," "Pass the Courvoisier, Part II," "I Know What You Want" and "Touch It."

Jeremih

Jeremy Phillip Felton is a singer-songwriter-producer who performs as Jeremih. He's cut three platinum and gold studio discs, and collaborated with MihTy on "Ty Dolla Sign" in 2018. His hits include "Birthday Sex," "Down on Me" (featuring 50 Cent), "All the Time" (featuring Lil Wayne and Natasha Mosley), "Don't Tell 'Em" (featuring YG), "Planez" (featuring J. Cole), and "Oui." He's been featured on hits including "Somebody," with Natalie La Rose; "The Fix" with Nelly; "Body," with Dreezy, and "Do You Mind," with DJ Khaled Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, August Alsina, Future and Rick Ross.
