I Heart Mac & Cheese is looking to hire up to 50 staff to work its as-yet unopened Palm Springs flagship starting next month.

The restaurant plans to hold a job fair from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at 650 E. Suite 2 Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs — in the "executive suites" next door to Koffi Central — according to a release from the company.

The jobs will include both staff members who will "be required to perform all restaurant positions, including, but not limited to, cashier, food assembler, dishwasher, and preparation of food items" and shift leaders who will do all of that plus manage the restaurant when the owner and other management aren't around.

The restaurant's management said it is particularly interested in hiring a diverse team including "people with special needs, seniors, veterans, people on Social Security, and people from 'second chance' programs including persons who have previous criminal convictions."

Representatives for I Heart Mac & Cheese didn't immediately respond to a question for how much the roles would be paid. The benefits package for employees will include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) match, including insurance for part-time workers, according to the restaurant.

Offer letters will be sent no later than June 6 and the first day of work for the new staff will be June 15, according to the company.
