  • Reuters has unveiled its pictures of the year for 2019.

  • From Megan Rapinoe's iconic pose at the World Cup to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern donning a hijab following terrorist attacks in Christchurch, photographers with the international news organization were on hand to capture some of the year's most iconic, stunning, and sobering moments.

  • As well as big news moments, the photos also cover an incredibly diverse range of subjects and topics affecting our world, including efforts to save coral reefs and fight climate change.
