August is here and another summer has flown by. But summer's not over yet! You still have ample time to indulge in all the wonders of summer cooking. From the bounty of vegetables at the farmer's market -- hello,zucchiniandeggplant-- to the fresh herbs -- we're looking at you,basil-- to the sweet summerfruitsandberries, there is no shortage of wonderful produce. The summer heat also gives you full license to indulge in all theice creamyou want (we certainlyhaven't been holding back), includingice cream sandwiches,ice cream cakesand straight-up amazinghomemade ice cream. Andsummer dessertsdon't stop at ice cream. We're thinking specifically ofpieandkey lime, not necessarily together either.

Of course, summer also means grilling season, which meansbarbecue,barbecue sides, and morebarbecue. With fall already in sight, now is the time to seize summer and all its glorious culinary gifts, and start cooking.
