520,000 people voted on the top 25 hotels in the Northeast. Here are the 8 in Rhode Island that made the list.

When it comes to the top hotels in New England, Rhode Island dominates with the best of the best.

At least that's what the 520,000 voters in Conde Nast Traveler's Readers Choice Awards said. Out of the list of the top 25 hotels in the Northeast, the Ocean State claimed nearly one-third of the list with a whopping eight selected by readers. Not bad for being little.

Of course, it's easy to love Rhode Island's accommodations. We have stunning ocean views and mansions built for the incredibly rich that have been transformed into hotels.

Here's a look at the hotels that made the list:

For the eighth spot, we head to the other side of the state to Ocean House in Watch Hill. The property is located near pop star Taylor Swift's oceanfront home, which gives you an idea of how good the view is. Conde Nast called it "classic New England," telling travelers to "bust out your favorite boat shoes and L.L. Bean weekender bag, because leaning into the preppy history of this hotel is all part of the fun."

In the heart of downtown, this boutique hotel in the 1887 Exchange Building is a stylish historic restoration with a high-end, modern feel. It's a perfect spot from which to explore the city.

The best hotel in the Northeast, according to Conde Nast, at No. 8 in the top 25, is none other than The Vanderbilt in Newport. Once owned by Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, the hotel has moody, old-world vibes and drips with elegance. Conde Nast said "stepping into the lobby here is like stepping into the foyer of this Gilded Age mansion during its heyday a hundred years ago. Built by a member of the Vanderbilt family, "this meticulous resort," Conde Nast stated, "recalls a time when Newport was the essential summer destination to see and be seen." They also said to be sure to check out the in-house restaurants and bars.
