Oct. 13—Corn mazes are a traditional fall adventure. Be sure to check websites or hotlines for updates before you venture out. Here's a look at six in the area.

Mast Farms

Two mazes in 12 acres of corn.

2705 Main St., Caernarvon Township, Lancaster County

Time: 1-2 hours

Season runs to: Nov 13.

Hours: Friday, 3-9 p.m.; Sat. 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; closed Sundays

Cost: $14 for age 3 and over; free for 2 and under.

Pro tip: Always check the maze hotline before coming out at 610-286-9315.

Duncan's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

30 Quarry Road, Heidelberg Township

Season runs to: Nov. 7

Hours: Fridays, 6-9 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays 1-9 p.m.

Cost: $10 per person; age 5 and under, free.

Pro tip: Check website for when band Cool Beans is playing. Costume contest on Oct. 30.

Wilcox Family Farm

Eight miles of trails wind through a 25 acre maze of corn. The large maze is actually made up of 3 smaller ones.

1134 South Reading Ave., Douglass Township

Season runs to: Nov. 7

Hours: Until Oct. 31 Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-midnight, Sunday 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Nov. 5-7, Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

Cost: $8 per person; kids 5 and under free for adult maze only.

Pro tip: Due to the size of the maze, no one will be admitted one hour prior to closing. Hay rides cost $4 and last about 20 minutes.

The Gilbertsville Farm

Hi-tech and includes a game where you are looking for 16 puzzle pieces as you build your map.

1200 County Line Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County

Season runs to: November

Hours: Friday — Sunday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

Cost: $12 per person, includes KidZone and animals; ages 2 and under, free.

Grim's Orchard and Family Farms

Seven-acre corn maze. Answer trivia questions for the correct path to the exit.

9875 Schantz Road, Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County

Season runs to: Oct. 31

Hours: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

Cost: $10 per person, includes 10 activities in the play corral.

Pro tip: This place has a variety of activities including pick-your-own pumpkins. The pricing varies depending on what you plan to do.

Savidge Farms

Approximately 5 acres

1710 State St., Longswamp Township

Season runs to: Oct. 31

Hours: Thursday -Friday: 1 — 5p.m.; Saturday-Sunday: 10 a.m. — 5 p.m.

Cost: $5 per person.
