So, what’s popping for papi this year?

With the pandemic starting to be in the rear view mirror — hopefully — there should be a lot more going on for Father’s Day on Sunday, June 20.

For now, we’ve come up with a curated list of our favorite daddy-riffic dining and drinking specials we think the father figure in your life might enjoy.

Keep in mind that prices do not include taxes and gratutities. Also, keep checking back in with this post as we might add more to the list later on.

The Ben

The Ben hotel’s restaurant, Proper Grit, will give the first 50 purchasers free engraving on bottles of the new Greenbriar Tennessee Whiskey, which cost between $80-$100. The engraving will be done from 5-8 p.m. June 18, the Friday before Father’s Day. And if you come back to Proper Grit on Father’s Day, Dad will get a free Greenbriar whiskey drink.

Bond Street is going to hook hubbies/daddies up with a new dish: Key Lime Pie Stuffed French Toast for $13.25. That’s two slices of French toast stacked on top of each other with a slice of Key lime pie in the middle and then topped with fruit and served with eggs and bacon on the side.

This restraurant on the 16th floor of the luxury hotel has incredible views of downtown Miami. For Father’s Day, the eatery known for its ocean-inspired menu is going in a different direction for dad with a 50-day, dry-aged Wagyu tomahawk steak served with rosemary and garlic fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus with a Béarnaise sauce for $235 (serves two people).

Bonefish Grill

Bonefish Grill is offering a pairing of a filet and lobster tail entrée for $35.90 with a Smoked Old Fashion craft cocktail for $12.90. The special entrée is a seven-ounce cut with a seasoned and steamed cold water lobster tail. The Old Fashion is made with Woodford Reserve bourbon and maple with Angostura bitters and Bordeaux cherry smoked with oak and served over a colossal ice cube.

Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar

Fathers get a free draft beer with the purchase of an entree from the Mexican-fare menu and kids get to eat for free.

Quarterdeck

Fathers will get a free signature craft cocktail with the purchase of an entrée. The choices from the new drink menu include:

  • The Lily Bell is made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, lemon juice, mint/blackberries and simple syrup served over crushed ice.

  • The QD Old Fashioned is made with Bulleit Bourbon, Truth Aromatic Bitters, Filthy Black Cherry, brown sugar and an orange peel.

  • The Michelle, made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur and fresh lime juice topped with soda water and fresh berries.

  • The Tres Agave Margarita Shaker, made with Tres Agave Blanco Organic Tequila, lime juice and agave nectar.

Duffy’s Sports Grill

Throughout the weekend — from Saturday, June 19 to Sunday, June 20 — the first pint of Bud Light or Miller Lite is free for fathers with the purchase of an entrée.

The food specials for dad that weekend will include:

  • A 28-day aged, eight-ounce filet mignon with two sides for $25.99

  • A 28-day aged, 12-ounce New York strip steak with two sides for $20.49.

Wild Fork

Wild Fork is offering a Classic Surf & Turf bundle for $54. The meal includes lobster tails, bacon-wrapped filet mignon (with Applewood Smoked Berkshire Bacon) and a side of broccoli and cheese gratins.

You can shop in-store, of course, but the boutique grocery store is also offering same-day delivery and in-store pick up if you order online.

Carvel Ice Cream

Carvel is bringing back their Fudgie The Whale Cake and Fudgie The Beer for Father’s Day. The ice cream cake starts at $21.99 and the stout-style ale beer is $18 for a four-pack. Not familiar with Fudgie? Well, it is a character Carvel created for Father’s Day back in 1977. By the way, the beer is brewed with 6% alcohol by volume and Carvel’s signature chocolate Crunchies, fudge and ice cream. The beer is made through a partnership with Captain Lawrence Brewing, so it’s sold wherever you find their products, such as Whole Foods and Total Wine & More stores. GG’s Waterfront and Tiki Tiki

These waterfront eateries (both owned by the Serafini family) will have a drawing for a $1,400 Big Green Egg Grill as a Father’s Day gift. All you have to do is stop by one of the restaurants or go to the websites to register. The drawing will be Monday, June 21 and the winner will be notified by email.

Also, Tiki Tiki chef Omar Rodriguez is offering a special Father’s Day dish: A grilled bone-in swordfish chop with roasted corn, pineapple salsa, heirloom carrots and herb mash for $32. During brunch everyone can get bottomless mimosas, rosé or Bloody Mary’s for $20.

PB Catch Seafood & Raw Bar

On Father’s Day PB Catch will have two menu specials served between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m.: A steamed Maine lobster at market price and a Surf & Turf (1.5-pound Main lobster and 8-ounce filet mignon) for $95. Dad also gets a free drink.

For the rest of the table, the restaurant is bringing back its BOGO offer where from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. if you buy one regular menu entrée, you get a second entrée of equal or lesser value per person.

Vecinos Market

This Miami-based digital artisan marketplace (they deliver throughout Broward County, too), is partnering with Bar Lab cocktails and Glenlivet whiskey to create a custom cocktail for Dad as well as a virtual tasting Wednesday, June 23 at 6:30 p.m. hosted by whiskey wizard Robert Ferrara.
