6-year-old Pasco girl to sing at Dust Devils game. She’s performed more than 100 times.

When fans come out to see the Tri-City Dust Devils play this weekend, they’re in for a surprise. This Saturday’s game will feature a special guest.

Six-year-old Kinsley Murray, of Pasco, will be serenading the crowd with the national anthem. She has practically been on tour, singing the anthem at over 100 events in the past four years.

Kinsley said she started her singing career at the age of one in her dad’s choir before starting her anthem career at just two years old at an Everett AquaSox game.

She said enjoys singing because of the roar she hears from the crowd when performing.

“It makes me feel really good ... it makes me so happy,” she told the Herald.

Since then, she has sung at events such as a PBR (rodeo) show in Tacoma and received over one million views on a Tik Tok video of her singing at a Gonzaga game.

One of her favorite teams is the Harlem Globetrotters, and she even had the opportunity to sing at one of their games in January.

Kinsley’s father, Shafer Murray, said he loves watching her sing because of the smile on her face every time she performs and her reaction to people talking to her afterward.

Shafer said he tries to embody the spirit of the national anthem by dressing Kinsley in American-themed attire from head to toes, quite literally from the bows in her hair to her painted toenails.

“I just love how my dad dresses me up because he does my toenails,” Kinsley said.

Kinsley hopes to continue on as a professional actor or singer for her career, but if that doesn’t work out, she said she wants become an art teacher because she loves making art in her free time.

She is set to sing on July 2 at the Dust Devils game, which is their firework night and their most attended game of the year, as well as on August 21 at the Mariners game in Oakland, Calif.
