A half-dozen former Oregon and three former Oregon State football players will get a chance to enhance their resumes in a few weeks.

Oregon cornerback Christian Gonzalez, linebackers Noah Sewell and DJ Johnson, and offensive linemen Alex Forsyth, T.J. Bass and Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu all received invitations to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis Feb. 28-March 6.

Former Oregon State players who received combine invites were defensive backs Alex Austin and Rejzohn Wright, and tight end Luke Musgrave.

A total of 319 former college players are invited to the combine, which puts the NFL hopefuls in front of coaches, general managers and front office staff from all 32 pro teams as they prepare for the NFL Draft, which will take place April 27-29.

Gonzalez, who had 50 tackles, four interceptions and seven pass breakups in his 12 games with Oregon after transferring from Colorado, is projected to go in the first round.

Sewell, a three-year starter who finished his career with 218 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks, is projected as a day-two pick when the draft gets into the second and third rounds.

Johnson, Forsyth, Bass and Aumavae-Laulu all project as late-round picks or undrafted free agents. A good week at the combine could improve their draft stock.

Musgrave has been projected to get drafted late in the second round or early in the third round. Austin and Wright, who are both projected as late-round selections or undrafted free agents, could help themselves in Indianapolis.

The Ducks led the Pac-12 with their six invites. Southern California was next with five, including former Oregon running back Travis Dye.
