As you’ve probably heard, the Emmy Awards were last night! And while the broadcast was three hours long, it somehow still didn’t include every juicy moment, skipping over celebrity run-ins in the aisles and the soothing disembodied auditorium voice asking everyone to “pretty please” sit TF down so the broadcast could start. But that wasn’t even the exciting part.

After getting a peek inside the Emmys, thanks to Sterling Vineyards, here are six Emmys moments you missed even if you watched the show like a hawk.

1. Stephen Colbert and John Oliver’s staffs were basically at war.

By “at war,” I mean they were hard-core going up against each other to see who could clap and cheer the loudest. Right before John Oliver won an Emmy and took the stage, a brave soul even shouted Colbert’s name during the beat of silence before John’s name was announced. Maybe next year, Colbert!

2. There was swearing, which inevitably didn’t air.

For obvious reasons, parts of the winners’ speeches that involved swears were bleeped out.

When Succession writer Jesse Armstrong took the stage, he ended up getting censored. Here’s what he said: “Quite a lot of British winners. Maybe too many. Maybe you should have a think about those immigration restrictions,” he began. Then he mentioned “shithole countries,” which got him a bleep.

And Peter Dinklage called the Game of Thrones show-runners the best “mother-fucking” people he’s ever met, which earned him the same.

This is primetime TV, so that’ll be a no, my friends.

3. Taylor Swift didn’t actually go to the Emmys, but her lookalike sure did.

The pink-haired guest we thought might be Taylor Swift was not, in fact, Taylor Swift. The Emmys attendee was a lovely doppelgänger who bounced from seat to seat during the telecast, but Taylor she was not.

4. The bar closed a bit early because everyone was swarming it before the show started.

Lol.

5. And here, in no particular order, are some moments of celebrity ~mingling~ that went down behind the scenes at the Emmys and the Governors Ball after-party.

  • Joey King and Patricia Arquette danced in the aisles with each other during a commercial break.

  • Zendaya and Billy Porter took the quickest drive-by selfie at Governors Ball as Billy returned from getting his Emmy engraved at the Winners Circle with Sterling Vineyards.

  • Mandy Moore’s husband, Taylor Goldsmith, carried around a bag of cookies, which may be the smartest move in Emmys history.

  • Game of Thrones’ Alfie Allen was visibly awe-struck by the ladybug from The Masked Singer.

  • Rachel Brosnahan, woman after our own hearts, took a shot in her Emmys seat.

  • Sophie Turner and Kit Harington took a second to hug and have a ~moment~ before taking their seats.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk held hands and kind of caused a holdup in the aisles while stopping to say hi to someone.

  • Ross Matthews hugged Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner after they presented RuPaul’s Drag Race with an Emmy win.

  • The biggest and loudest standing ovations by far were for Billy Porter and Jharrel Jerome. There was a literal line to congratulate Billy once he got back to his seat.

  • Ben Stiller’s date was his ex, Christine Taylor.

  • Taraji P. Henson mingled with the whole Game of Thrones cast, and they were cracking each other up.

  • Ava DuVernay got help with her long, long dress train as she took her seat. Halsey did too—she needed four people to help her carry it!

  • Celebrities drank 10,000 glasses of Sterling Vineyards wine to celebrate after the show ended. I’m not even joking.

  • Besties Busy Philipps and Michelle Williams fully ran up the aisle right before the show opener.

  • Nick Cannon hugged Ken Jeong after his lukewarm TikTok bit kinda fell flat with the audience.

  • Fleabag director Harry Bradbeer tripped up the stairs while accepting his Emmy and almost face-planted, whoops!

  • The Game of Thrones cast took a backstage selfie together, and it’s perfection.

  • The Emmys audience gasped when Phoebe Waller-Bridge won Best Actress, and when she came back into the audience, everyone cheered.
