60 super easy indoor activities to keep kids busy
Days can feel long when you're stuck inside on a sick day, snow day ... or even just a I-don't-wanna-leave-the-house day.
But what can you do when it feels like there's nothing to do?
Maybe you have already considered reading a book or breaking out the board games, but what about creating your own game or having an indoor picnic? With a little creativity, indoor activities for kids can be fun for the whole family.
And if you just need a break, there's no need to worry about throwing a little screen time into the mix.
Laura Linn Knight, author of “Break Free from Reactive Parenting,” tells TODAY.com that screen time isn't always bad if it's used intentionally.
"It is a great time to watch family favorite movies together," Knight says.
But make sure you do a little advance planning (if possible) to make sure screens don't take over your whole day.
You probably won't have to play cruise director all day long. Once you set up a few indoor activities for kids, they may come up with their own ideas and take the reins from there!
