$7.5 million CubeSmart is in and TD Bank out at San Juan Ave. site in Jacksonville
A 105,800-square-foot self-storage facility will soon be built in Jacksonville's Lakeshore community.
CubeSmart Self Storage is planning to build the three-story, structural steel building at 4520 San Juan Ave. west of Roosevelt Boulevard. CubeSmart received permit approval for the project this month by the Jacksonville Building Inspections Division.

The self-storage complex will be climate-controlled and replace a former TD Bank branch. The cost is projected at $7.5 million and the contractor Bay to Bay Properties LLC, according to the permit.
Pet hospital to get overhaul
The BluePearl Pet Hospital is planning major renovations and even some demolition at its Jacksonville location.
The project will include the addition of some walls, modifications to work areas, new ceilings and finishes to many areas of the facility at 3444 Southside Blvd., according to permits approved by city building inspectors. Some areas will have to be demolished as well.

The cost of the project will run $1 million. Ripken Construction & Design LLC will handle the work.
Baptist Medical South to undergo renovations
A notable overhaul for Baptist Medical Center South is about to get underway in Jacksonville.
The five-story hospital at 14550 Old St. Augustine Road at Interstate 95 has secured city permits for the alterations. The project will cover 107,397 square feet of space in the central core area of the building. It will include setting up a future operating room and additional support facilities.

The cost of the project will run $2.5 million, according to the permits. Batson-Cook Co. is the contractor.
