The Bible is full of God’s mercy, understanding and love amid his desire for his children to obey the commandments and do good.

In Philippians 4:6-7, Paul gives advice on how to cope with worry and what we would modernly call anxiety, overthinking and stress.

He says, “in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

He promises that “the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Several more verses in the New and Old Testaments give advice and comfort during times of fear, stress and anxiety.
