From the nominator: "You wouldn't think a quilt shop would be an essential business during a pandemic. But our community fights coronavirus with the help of our local quilt shop Wooden Gate Quilts. When it became apparent that the pandemic was going to be around a while and decimate the country's PPE supplies, the staff and customers jumped into action and made masks for hospitals and the community. They also quickly and efficiently shifted their business to online and pick-up so as not to disrupt the flow of much-needed fabric for mask making. They also provided a dependable source of fabric, sewing supplies and inspiration by staying open for their customers to pursue sewing hobbies during the lock-down."
